Underserved NYC students are at a higher risk than their peers when it comes to dropping out of high school and not receiving a proper education needed to suceed in the real world. The NYCDC Youth Leadership Program is a year long program that provides
youth leadership development to underserved students in public schools. This program focuses on teaching the following skills but not limited to :
Civic Engagement
Conflict resolution
Public speaking
Time management
Interpersonal communication skills
Research & Project-based action planning
